Not sure if any of our readers are going, but I’ll be headed to Psychonomics later this week in New Orleans. I’m looking forward to the conference; there are several talks and poster sessions I’m excited for. Also, I’m greatly anticipating the WiCS workshop and speed mentoring session! And I’m impatiently awaiting to eat the wonderful food that awaits! Cajun food in near and dear to my heart. If you’ll be at the conference, I am presenting a poster titled “Bilingual Language Change Detection: The Role of Orthographic, Phonological, and Semantic Overlap in Early Stage Processing.” The presentation will be during Poster Session II (Friday 12-1:30). My poster number is 2247. Feel free to come find me!
Also, at the conference I will be an official Twitternome! I’ll be live tweeting about talks and posters I find especially exciting. Additionally, I’ll be writing up a few short summaries each day that will be featured as part of the special “Breaking Science” coverage on the Psychonomic Society website. Be on the look-out for those! I can share the links once they’re up. Hope to see you there! written by Jen Blush
